$500–$800 for one pet, based on destination complexity. It covers our review, written plan, certificate drafting, guidance and agreed communication through the service term.
Your flight. Your pet. An expert by your side.
Book your own flight with the support of an experienced full-service pet agent. From veterinary paperwork to questions about what your pet will experience, we remain someone you can turn to throughout the agreed journey—for one flat professional fee.
For owners leaving the U.S. with their pet in cabin or as checked baggage, booking their own flights, and seeking expert guidance and ongoing support.
The fee is based principally on destination complexity. Most straightforward destinations, including the United Kingdom and European Union, are generally $500 for one pet. Australia, New Zealand and Japan are generally $800 for one pet.
Every multi-pet journey is quoted individually. The published range applies to dogs and cats; other species are considered and quoted case by case.
The engagement covers one defined journey for the pet or pets named in the quotation until travel, cancellation or 12 months from the date work begins—whichever comes first.
Veterinary services, laboratory testing, USDA endorsement, courier charges, permits and airline charges are separate.
Describe your tripFull-service experience. Support for your self-booked journey.
We are experienced full-service pet agents at Transcontinental Pet Movers. This consultation gives you access to that experience when you want to arrange your own accompanied travel and do not need freight booking.

Someone to turn to, all the way through.
Your support continues after the checklist is written. Ask us about the paperwork, your veterinary appointments, travel complications, or what the journey may be like for your pet. We help you talk through concerns and decide what to do next.
Email is our primary channel. Call as reasonably needed during 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, subject to availability. For veterinary appointments arranged with us in advance, we will be on standby—even outside those hours. Clinical questions remain with your veterinarian.
We discuss your pet’s identification, vaccinations, test results, certificates and available travel records, then identify gaps requiring attention.
You receive a personalized checklist and timeline covering the veterinary, documentation and government steps for the destination and intended travel date.
We review the proposed route and dates from a documentation perspective, including certificate windows and the effect of connections or entry points. You remain responsible for purchasing and managing the passenger booking.
We draft the applicable export health certificate using the information supplied by you and your veterinary practice. Your veterinarian remains responsible for the examination, clinical decisions, accuracy and issuance of the certificate.
We communicate with the veterinary practice about timing and paperwork, then monitor USDA endorsement progress when endorsement is required. We guide you through outside applications, but you remain responsible for completing and submitting them unless a different written scope is agreed.
The fee is for guidance, continuity and fewer avoidable mistakes.
Many costs belong to the journey itself. You would ordinarily pay the veterinarian, laboratory, government authorities, courier and airline whether you prepare the paperwork alone or engage us. Our professional fee pays for someone to help organize those moving parts and talk the process through with you.
Veterinary work, tests, government filings, permits, USDA endorsement, courier services and airline charges are paid separately to the relevant providers.
Good planning can reduce missed validity windows, repeat work, unsuitable appointments and unnecessary charges. It cannot eliminate every change imposed by a government, veterinarian or airline.
Designed for self-booked, accompanied travel.
The service fits a specific kind of journey. Stating that clearly protects the owner from buying the wrong service and prevents a paperwork consultation from being mistaken for a complete relocation.
You are leaving the United States, travelling with your pet, and arranging your own passenger booking.
Your veterinary practice has asked for an experienced agent to help organize the travel requirements and paperwork.
Your pet must travel unaccompanied as manifest cargo, or you need an agent to arrange the live-animal flight.
From uncertainty to a usable travel plan—and support through departure.

Before you engage us.
Will you book my passenger flight?
No. This service is for owners arranging their own flights and travelling with their pets. We can discuss the itinerary as it affects documentation, but we do not sell or manage the passenger ticket.
Do you issue the health certificate?
No. A veterinarian examines the pet and issues the veterinary certificate. USDA endorses certificates when endorsement is required. Our role is consultation, planning, record review and agreed coordination.
Can you speak with my veterinarian?
Yes. We are your advocates and work with your veterinary team on the requirements, timing and paperwork. Effective communication also requires cooperation from your veterinarian, hospital and front desk, including permission to discuss your pet’s records. We cannot require a practice to respond or accept our involvement, and your veterinarian retains responsibility for clinical decisions and issuing the certificate.
How long does the flat fee cover?
It covers one defined journey for the pet or pets named in the quotation until travel, cancellation or 12 months from the date work begins, whichever occurs first. A different destination, a change to manifest cargo, additional pets or work beyond 12 months requires a new written scope and fee.
What if my date changes or the certificate must be redrafted?
Minor date changes do not automatically create a new charge, but additional fees may apply when a change requires us to redo a health certificate or perform substantial additional work. Client changes to the destination require a new scope and fee. USDA returns for action and veterinary corrections are reviewed case by case. We will explain any additional professional charge before beginning the extra work.
How can I contact you during the engagement?
Email is the primary channel and gives everyone a reliable written record. You may call as reasonably needed during 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, subject to availability, although we may ask you to place the details in an email. If we know about a veterinary appointment in advance, we will arrange to be reachable during that appointment even when it falls outside normal Pacific business hours.
Can I ask one question about my pet’s move without purchasing the full consultation?
Yes. You are welcome to email a specific question without engaging the consultation service. We cannot promise an individual response, but we may reply when time permits. If the information suggests a serious problem or that the journey needs professional attention, we may let you know and invite you to request the full service.
Why is the fee not reduced if I already completed some steps?
We still need to review the complete record, confirm that earlier work is usable and place it correctly within the remaining timeline. The responsibility and review work do not disappear merely because part of the process has already been attempted.
What happens if I cancel after work begins?
The professional fee becomes chargeable when you authorize us to begin and the consultation is opened. It is not an hourly retainer and is not refunded merely because you later abandon a journey that remains feasible. Any refund for genuinely unperformed services, and the treatment of third-party payments, will be governed by the written engagement terms.
What happens if my pet must travel as cargo?
Your case can transition directly to Transcontinental Pet Movers’ full manifest-cargo flight-booking service. That service already includes consultation and document guidance, so your existing work carries forward and you do not pay for consultation twice. Any consultation fee paid for the same journey is credited toward the full-service quotation. You pay the same total you would have paid if you had selected the full service from the beginning.
Are government, veterinary and laboratory charges included?
No. The professional consultation fee does not include examinations, vaccinations, testing, treatments, permits, USDA endorsement, courier charges or airline fees.
